I am a qualified integrative counsellor – in Layman’s Terms I use my knowledge of Humanistic, Psychodynamic and CBT psychotherapeutic theory to explore why you feel as you do and seek more helpful ways of living and thinking. I won’t judge, or tell you what to do, but encourage you to make the changes you feel ready to make.
I have worked with many different social and ethnic backgrounds, in Private Practice and as a counsellor for Mind in Haringey, covering a wide spectrum of issues via either face-to-face or Zoom sessions.
Before qualification as a counsellor, I worked in the Creative Media industries; am first-generation British, of European parentage; my native tongue is English, but I also speak Spanish and French.
I offer an initial free telephone or Zoom consultation to discuss any questions you might have, so please call/email to arrange. If you choose to proceed then my fee is £60/hour.
I’m Pedro, a qualified, experienced Integrative Counsellor but how did I get here?
I was a reluctant client long before I became a counsellor. When I was stuck, my friend recommended therapy might help and it did. Cut to years later, another unexpected turn of events found me again struggling so I returned and, once again, benefitted greatly from talking to a professional. These events inspired me to learn more so trained, qualified, worked as a counsellor for national charities such as Mind and Home-Start, and now run my own private practice.
I’m also a dad, husband, ran my own self-employed business working in commercials, music videos and TV for 30 years, and don’t discount what I also learned from these experiences too.
I don’t wish to over-promise or hard-sell but I can help you similarly shine fresh light on your issues and work with you to inspire change.
Face-to-Face and Online Sessions
I offer both face-to-face sessions in North London and online sessions.
If you are interested in online work, you’ll need a private suitable space to speak freely. For video calls I use Zoom, so you’ll need a good internet connection, and a smart phone, tablet or computer . Do get in touch if you have any questions.
